Peer Review Process

The publication process for the Journal of Health Care Research (JHCR) is as follows:

  1. The author submits the research electronically as a single Word file. The research must be anonymous, meaning that the author's name or any personal information should not be included.
  2. The editorial board reviews the research to ensure that it meets the journal's formal requirements, such as the length, format, and style. The editorial board also ensures that the research meets the criteria for scientific research, such as the quality of the research question, the methodology, and the findings.
  3. The editorial board selects two reviewers from different academic institutions to review the research. The reviewers must be experts in the field of the research and must have the rank of professor or associate professor.
  4. The research is sent to the reviewers in a confidential manner. The reviewers evaluate the research based on the criteria included in the rating form.
  5. The editorial board receives the results of the review. If the research requires revisions, the author is contacted to make the revisions and resubmit the research within 21 days.
  6. The editorial secretary receives the reviewers' reports and forwards them to the editor-in-chief. The editor-in-chief then writes a report on the review and forwards it to the editor-in-chief.
  7. The publication fee is paid by the author. The payment is processed directly by the financial officer.
  8. A notification of the acceptance of the research for publication is then sent to the author by the associate editor and editorial secretary.
