Abstract

ABSTRACT
 Background: Infertility is defined by the World Health Organization (WHO) as failure to achieve a pregnancy after 12 months or more of regular unprotected sexual intercourse. Aim: aimed to measure the prevalence of violence among women ‎suffering from infertility.Subject and method: this study was descriptive study, Sample: A purposive sample of 220 women in reproductive age. Setting: Beni-Suef universityGyn & OB. Outpatient clinics. Tool: A structured interviewing questionnaire and contain five parts: Part I: Socio-demographic characteristics Part II: infertility Knowledge assessment questionnaire. Results: The median age of women was 35.0 years, mostly with secondary level education (56.5%), and housewives (70.2%) Overall, 45.0% of the women were exposed to violence (NorAQ scale), 62.8% were exposed to battering (WEB), and 9.9% were exposed to abuse (WAST). Conclusion this study underscores the multifaceted nature of factors influencing women's exposure to intimate partner violence Recommendation: highlighting the importance of considering various socio-demographic, relational, and contextual elements in understanding and addressing this pervasive issue.
